US airlines offer free tickets for passengers with special surnames

By having the "Green" or "Greene" surname, passengers can sign up for free domestic airline tickets from US low-cost airlines.

On the occasion of Green Week (Green Week), Frontier Airlines wants to promote its efforts to become the most environmentally friendly airline in the United States. The airline announced to donate 2 domestic air tickets for passengers carrying surnames "Green" or "Greene".


Passengers must depart on August 13. If they make a round trip ticket, they must fly back at the latest at 23:59 on August 20. Passengers are still required to pay airfare and need to provide full identification. If valid, the airline will reimburse up to 400 USD on September 15.
Barry Biffle, CEO of Frontier Airlines, affirmed that the company has not only the lowest fare but also sustainable exploitation. "We focus on reducing the impact of flights on the environment and constantly looking for innovative solutions and technologies to achieve that," said Biffle.

The airline has just opened the "greenest" route from Denver (Colorado) to Greenville (South Carolina) on the Airbus A320neo - one of the world's most fuel-efficient aircraft. Passengers on this flight are served drinks contained in packages made of environmentally friendly materials such as self-destructive cups and paper towels. Besides, the company also announced that it has planted "enough trees" to minimize the amount of carbon that the flights are discharging into the environment.

However, the promotional information has received mixed reactions from passengers. Besides the enthusiastic people, some suggested that the announcement time of the company was too fast. Katie Green said she could hardly prepare a vacation for the whole family just five days in advance. John Green, another customer, wondered that he wanted to book two tickets for his children from Cleveland to Orlando. However, the total price is 689.2 USD, while the highest refund of the company is only 400 USD.
